The nanowires and nanorods that can be fabricated using Synkera's anodic alumina products feature well-behaved plasmonic properties.  This plasmonic behavior is generated upon interaction with electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz to petahertz frequency range.  Thus, these structures function as "nanoantennas", and are useful for a variety of applications, including:
