Synkera's newest asymmetric membrane product line features controlled pore sizes at <5 nm.  Membranes with pores sizes at 0.5-1 nm are now also being developed, allowing for nanofiltration of water for removal of salts (desalination) and purification. Such products would be a replacement to traditional reverse osmosis (RO) membranes.  Key features of our membranes that are relevant to water purification include:
