Synkera has accumulated significant expertise and established extensive capabilities for templated deposition of arrays of nanostructures from a variety of materials inside the pores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO). Templated arrays of dense nanorod and nanowire are available for most of the metals that could be deposited using electrochemical deposition:
Electroless deposition can be used to form thin conformal layers of metals, such as gold and platinum, onto the walls of the high-aspect ratio pores of AAO, creating conductive nanotubes. These coatings provide high conductivity across the length of the pores (50-100 micron, typically) and are useful for a number of applications, such as synthetic ion-gate membranes. Gas phase deposition of metal oxides, multilayer carbon nanotubes and glassy-carbon-like coatings inside of the pores of AAO is also available as a custom engineering service. If you have the need for highly aligned arays of nanostructures using nanoporous AAO as a template, please contact us. |
